Two alloy A and B contains copper and zinc in the ratio 5:11 and 3:5 respectively. If equal weights of the two alloy are melted together to form a third alloy, find the ratio of the weights of copper and zinc in the third alloy.
A:11:21

    CpjJwWHV   Alloy A = 5x(copper), 11x(zinc) => 16x(total)
    Alloy B = 3y(copper), 5y(zinc) = total (8y)
    Having equal weight ,
    16x = 8y => y = 2x
    Thus ratio are,
    Alloy A 5x, 11x
    Alloy B = 6x, 10x
    Mixing both, copper (11x), zinc (21x)
    Ratio = 11x:21x= 11:21
