Pattern of Group Discussion

Topic: PRESIDENTIAL RULE IS BETTER OR NOT
Advice: Just make up 2-3 relevent points, do not talk non-sense, be a good listener and in the end prepare a good conclusion.

My Points:
1. USA is a fine example of presidential rule and we all know how strong USA is.
2. If there are many people in Govt. (like in India), everyone tries to take control or make money, this give rise to corruption.

My Conclusion: In presidential rule, the President is elected by the people. That one person has the power to govern all sectors, be it finance/defence, he knows everything so he can manage all things very smoothely. And there are little or no chances for corruption.

Technical Interview

Go to room, ask "May i come in sir." Get in, DO NOT sit before he ask you to.Say "Thank you " when u r seated.
He asked questions from my "area of interest" i.e. Data Structure(DS) and Software Engineering(SE).
When he saw SE, he was like "SE?not many people opt for that." I said "Yes sir, I know SE is quite a vast subject but i really like it"
Interviewer: so shall we start with SE?
Me: Sure sir
Then he asked basic questions from SE, asked me to draw and explain two life cycles.
Also asked about DBMS but i said "Sir, i have not really an expert with DB as my past projects did not required DB connectivity but this year my project has DB connectivity so i m working on it."
Interviewer: You have no knowledge abt Db?
Me: Sir, i do have basic knowledge abt DB as it was in my curriculum and i know the basic queries of SQL. Also i m familiar with MS Access.
Interviewer: Ok.
Then he began asking questions from Object Oriented System(OOS) and Java.
Asked me to compare "multiple inheritence " in C++ and Java.(Note in Java, there is no "Multiple inheritence", it uses "Multi level inheritance".Though it supports multiple inheritance through the use of "Interfeces").
Then he discussed my past project(completed project).
He talked about my academia too. You can smile a little in these questions. But not become too frank, strictly no giggling or laughing or broad grins.
Finally he asked if my family will allow me to far away. I said, "Yes sir, my family has no problem with that. I m living far from home since the last 6 years( followed by a little smile)".
Then he said:"Ok Saima, our HR will talk to you later"
Me: "Thank you sir" and came out.

HR Interview

Go to room, ask "May i come in sir." Get in, DO NOT sit before he ask you to.Say "Thank you " when u r seated.
My HR was not very painstaking. I was the second one to give the HR, so i was little nervous as I have heard they don't select first few persons. But it is not so.
My interviewer was quite senior and he held the form i filled. He was just reading it and asking questions from it.
Asked where r u from?
He asked about my strength and said how do i believe it?
He discussed my past project too.(It was team project, I praised my project partner a bit . This make them think u r a team worker)
He checked my academia.(This is quite good and consistent)
Asked where do u see yourself after 5 years?(I said i m looking 4 a long term commitment and i believe in progress so after 5 years i see myself at an upper level, probably as a team lead)
Asked about relocation.
Asked if its my first campus interview.(I said "yes, this is my first interview" but i got nervous after that. I thought i messed up everything)
He also asked few questions from the form that i don't remember.
Result came in the evening and I GOT SELECTED...
