Details of types of questions asked in each of the sections:
This is an online test. There are three sections. There is no sectional cut-off. Verbal english: synonyms and antonyms,
comprehensive passages(you can refer GRE books by barrens...lengthy passages) Quantitative: questions from averages,
work-time problems, ages, etc.(This section is simple and easy to score but time consuming. One should score more from
this section) Reasoning/Analytical: Questions related to relations, sets and venn diagrams, assertion etc. (This section is
good one. I liked this section the most.)

I am a student of thermal engineering. I wished them good after noon...they offered me a seat....and started asking
questions...... They asked most of the questions from mechanical engg. They started with what thermal engg is about.
Questions on engines like explain about 4-stroke and 2-stroke engines, and their relative merits. what is angle of banking
and why it needed? about Carnot cycle and some more questions. Then they asked about programming languages. I told
that I know basics of C and I use it for solving CFD probs. asked about operating systems asked about DBMS. I said I
don't know.(I am not into it.) asked about microprocessors. answer is I don't know. about architecture of computers.

They started with tell abt yourself. why didn't you join BITS,Pilani when you got a chance? asked about family details,
financial position and how I am managing my studies... asked about publications(paper presentations etc.)I said due to lack
of awareness I didn't publish. They advised to publish. Few questions related to company(I started with Tata's.....they
insisted to tell about TCS) asked about any 5 s/w companies which you know... asked abt company website( I told
www.tcs-online.com .....full of laughs...you created new one?....I know that it is www.tcs.com ...but in hurry I answered
wrong) As you are from thermal engg and also u worked in different field...how can you justify our company (answered...
if I am given chance I will prove...then they asked why to give chance and risk...and full of laughs again including
me....Then I answered in a convincing manner...) They told abt their conditions if I am selected......like insurance, shud be
ready to go anywhere in the country even abroad,and some more. They asked do you have any questions? I said no.....They
wished me all the best....and I left after wishing them thank you very much

tell yes to whatever you know and answer......say no if you don't know....keep smile on your face.....try to explain by using
paper and pen...don't be agressive....ALL THE BEST...

I enjoyed the interview very much.....before entering the cabin for interview I was nervous.....but once entered I was
comfortable...
