Shortlistings are done mainly in the technical interview. Questions are asked from our course structure and basic programming. Projects and trainings completed during engineering are asked in detail. Important subjects include Data Structures, DBMS, C/C++, Comp. Networks, Operating Systems.
I was asked questions from DBMS and Data Structures. Very basic questions from the subjects and they demand for deep knowledge of programming skills.
Final year projects are training are important. Its like a chain reaction, they hear us completely on our topic.

well sound knowledge of the subjects studied during the bachelors is good enough. Besides confidence in communicating of what you know isnecessary. never backstep on your points which you have stated before!!

some 60 students applied for it and 19 got selected.there is no specification of rank in the selection process!!
confidence, project work,good programming skills and most importantly we need to prove our point no matter how much they try to prove us wrong!!!
