Written test, objective type, three papers on simple number series and simple aptitude questions and logical reasoning.

IBM asked for OGPA of 6.5 and above.

the panel for the interview was very tolerant and gave me enough time to put my point to them. Aricent was the first company and I could have easily made it to Aricent too but I was not well prepared for questions on C/C++ and if you do not asnwer simple questions in C/C++ then it gives wrong impression....be prepared for questions about project and simple questions in C/C++.

tell about yourself, why you want to join IBM.

C/C++ basic concepts...
simple programs...of string reversal, sorting, matrix link list etc.
project
any one subjetc DS, OS, DBMS, networks...
if they star asking you a lot of networks and u r not comfortable just tell them that u r comfortable wid some other subject they generally dont mind and they will ask questions from the suject of your choice but the suggestion wud be that be well prepared wid at least the basics of all the subjects.....and do not painc...failure is not death after all.........

Number of candidates appeared for written test: 50 (approx.)
Number of short listed candidates for GD: 33 (don't remember exactly)
4 candidates were rejected after GD round then finally after PI around 17
students were selected.
