Pattern of Written Test

Verbal English : 30 Minutes
Technical : 30 Minutes

Details of types of questions asked in each of the sections:
Keep your basics clear. Technical test was simple. Questions were very good. Some Examples are:
1)The ratio of compressive strength of Cylinder to that of Cube made of same material is ____?
2) Concrete is prepared with ratio 1:4:8. Determine the sand amount.

I would like to stress that never come empty minded to the tests. It hardly takes few days to cover all the basics.
There are no derivations nor you need to mug up some huge formulae to answer.

Concentrate more on Concrete Technology, DCS, DSS, Transportaion, Survey and TOS.

Pattern of Group Discussion

Time Given : 15 Minutes

Details of the process and your contribution:
Candidates were short listed on the basis of aptitude test (Technical + Verbal).
No ellimination was done after short listing the candidates.
It was followed by Group discussion (no elimination) and HR + Technical interviews.


Group Disscussion: Topics were simple just make sure you speak properly and effectively

Technical Interview

Both Technical and HR staffs were present. My interview was HR based and no technical
questions were asked.

They asked me regarding my training at L&T concentrating on the point as
Why I was interested in SPCL when I have done my training in L&T?
Other questions which they asked included Why NIT and Civil?

Suggestion

Just make sure you give your full potential without bothering much about the end results.
Never be disheartened or desperate at any point of time.
Its very important to have faith in yourself.

Interview was totally fun. Just be loyal and humble.

Do some homework before attending any company. Its very essential to know some information of the company.
It really helps during your HR interviews. Use them as your defence weapons if you are unable to counter their attack.
Remember, knowledge is the best weapon you can carry in an interview.
