Aptitude Test,Quantitative,Verbal English and Reasoning : 30 Minutes 30 Questions

Technical : 30 Minutes 25 Questions

Questions were pretty easy i felt.
They gave the General Aptitude paper first. After 30 minutes they distributed the Technical Paper and took back the Aptitude paper.

Technical Section had C,Digital and Micro controller. I feel if you know the basics well u can solve the paper well before 30 minutes.

First question will be what is your Final year project?Explain.
You should know each and every detail of the components you are using,why you using and what are its advantages and disadvantages.You should also be through with all the subjects u have read, they will ask you very basic questions like whats an amplifier,Smps, Pci, Combinational Logic,TTL CMOS etc..They will ask you your favorite subject but they will never ask even a single question from there. Then they will ask you to rate yourself in C? based on that they will ask u questions from C.
One important thing, guys who took the interview were very Good you cannot fool them, so just try and be honest if u don't know the answer,its absolutely fine.
My Technical Questions were like
-Whats your Project?Explain
-Draw circuit your are using?Explain
-Whats an ADC? they gave me an analog value and asked me find its Digital equivalent.
-Whats quantization? Types of quantization Error?
-SMPS?
-Why SMPS over linear regulators?
-Whats inside 7805
-Draw an amplifier ckt
-Do we need any capacitor in the circuit?(i drew a very simple opamp amplifier circuit)
-Write the equation of Opamp Output?
-How to vary the amplification?
-and many more such questions!
My last Question was how will you determine how many bit a processor is just by looking at its datasheet?

Duration was around 45-60 minutes.

Only if you clear the Technical round they will send you for HR interview.
HR interview was very simple they ask u about yourself,why do u want to join KPIT?
What's your interests,why you choose this branch etc.

Duration 10-15minutes.

-Good Technical Knowledge
-Good Communication Skill
-Confidence(they will try to make you nervous and act as if all your answers are wrong, but don't get scared)
-Good Project with through knowledge about it.
-Resume that you carry.(they'll ask alot of questions from your CV also)

And Never give Hope..!!

In our college around 60 students sat for the written test.Out of which 20 cleared written.And only 7 people could make it upto HR round.

All those who went for HR round all were selected. I was one among them :)
