First, an aptitude test and technical test (both of these of objective nature). Technical test encompassed almost every basic subject one studies in his/her department. In Mechanical, questions related to pumps, turbine, manufacturing were prominent. Aptitude test was very simple, though time constraints were tough. After these tests, technical+HR interviews were conducted.

Interview was easy-going. General questions like "tell me about yourself" in the start, and then he asked me about my favourite field/subject. Questions were related to that field only. One must have control on basic knowledge to clear the interview.

Stick to your choices and don't undermine yourselves if not selected. Although, your hard work is the biggest factor coming into picture, you can never ignore the luck factor.
