it shortlists you on the basis of GPA and then takes interview directly HR and TECH,full dept applied as it was one of the first few companies to visit campus , around 60 applied , it shortlistd around 30 I was about 17 among shortlisted.

it was about 25 min interview. It is very difficult in PSU as you get only one chance to prove yourself no other rounds. I enterd room and was expecting common tell me about yourself question first but it was not asked. Directly tech questions were asked

1. Tell about working of IM
2. Types of motors which can be started on DOL
3.Speed control of both AC and DC motors
4. What is LENZ's law
5. Why there are stones kept below transformers
6.What are different types of vibrations in machines
7.What is Megger

then they asked few questions on IPT i had done in BHEL hydbd ......It really helped me n boostd my chances....I answerd them all the questions they asked on MS9001E gas turbine..........

they 2-3 question on my project on FPGA .........they were looking satisfied...........and finally they asked are you ready to work anywhere in India ............I told them yes........

1.Visit company site first.
2.Gather all the info , learn about work profile they are offering
3.Be well prepared in tech and prepare atleast one subject well
4.Be confident wharever you say whether correct or wrong
5.dress properly
6.learn you IPT and projects very well
7.You must keep it arrond 8.0

My IPT in BHEL HYDBD wrkd for me as well as my answers on project as tech questions were simple..........
