In technical context they asked questions based on IC engines, thermodynamics, heat transfer, thermal machines
and hydraulic machines. In IC engines they asked about the differential, transmission, piston rings an the entire
engine components and also asked me to draw how the power is transferred from the engine to the wheels. In heat
transfer they asked the basic questions fundamental based only which were pretty easy to answer. give importance
to the heat exchangers topic. Actually they asked me for my area of interest so they started asking qns on these
above topics. They in the end they asked me a lot of questions based on hydraulic machines esp. the pumps. So
have a detailed study of pumps and turbines.

HR was easy. Cliche questions only. Tell me about yourself, why do u want to join the company, in what position do
you want to see yourself in the company, whether you are having any plans for future studies or not. Always try to
be positive like when asked about the future study aspect i told that i looked at IOCL as a career aspect and not as
a job aspect.

prepare your lessons well. Always have a smiling face, dress properly and enjoy the interview.

Interview overall is nice experience. Sitting among those knowledgeable persons and spending some time with
them is a good experience. Interview lasts for about 30 min. HR was of 5 min or so and rest was technical. The
people inside were very friendly. When i entered my hands were shaking and they told me to relax and after haf a
min or so only they started the interview process.
