There was no written test for top 25 students and were directly called for interview.
All the basics in computer science subjects were asked.<br />
Questions in concepts in OS like memory mgmt,cpu scheduling,deadlocks, semaphores ...<br />
in Computer Networks, explain how two processes in different machines communicate(sockets)<br />
in Data Structures: stacks, linked lists, time complexities for sorting, reversal of arrays and strings<br />
in C: on pointer concepts(void, const), few programs with optimal time complexity were asked to be written.<br />
Object oriented programming concepts,<br />
about projects done in btech and mtech<br />
and logical question like how to find a+b with out using + .(ans: a^2 - b^2 / a-b)
There was another round called Managerial round where I was asked some puzzles like how do you weigh an<br />
elephant and one more question like : there are 127 players playing a knock out game, then how many total<br />
number of games does these players play?(ans: 126). They asked if I had given any presentations,seminars ....<br />
and also asked if I had participated in any social activities.<br />
The last round was HR where usual questions like tell me about yourself, why tcs, why should we hire you, how<br />
long would you be with tcs given an offer, strengths, which one you prefer whether tcs or any dream job, what will<br />
be your location preference,....

All the rounds were very cool. I got to learn some new things in technical interview. The interviewer was very much<br />
friendly that I didn't get nervous and could answer fine.
