Details of types of questions asked in each of the sections:
They didn't conduct the written test for me. They shortlisted top 5 members of the 5 different branches MCA, ECE,
CSE, MTECH(CSE),I don't another branch from which they shortlisted. Totally 25 members are shortlisted like this.
They directly conducted interviews for us.
But, the written test in online written test. I came to know that pattern is similar to the previous tcs papers. So, if u
prepare the previous papers u can easily crack the written test.

Two persons interviewed me in the first round i.e. technical. They touched up on the basics of every subject which I
studied up to this semester i.e. most of the subjects mentioned in resume. The questions are very basic. They
interviewed me for 1 hour. Some of the questions they asked are given be(low.
(1)Tell me abt urself. (2)What is a class and object? what is the difference between class and objects? (3)What is
shallow copy and deep copy? (4)can we use private constructor in C++? (5)what is a memory leak? They asked me
how to find memory leak? Did u implemented any program for finding the memory leak? (6)what is normalisation?
(7)what is a unique key and what is primary key? (8)what are joins in SQL? They asked inner joins and outer joins?
(9) They asked about cursors in SQL? (10)what datastructures do u know? (11)what is the difference between
linked list and array? When u go for linked list and array? (12) what is stack and queue? what are different types of
queues u know? (13) what is spanning tree? Give on example? (14)what is overloading and overriding? Explain with
examples? (15)what is digital signature?(in network security) (16)what are the layers in OSI model? (17)what is TCP and UDP?when we use TCP and UDP? (18)They asked about every project I mentioned in resume? (19)what is software development life cycle (SDLC)? (20) They asked how u apply a prototype model for developed a new cell
phone? (21)what is foreign key? (22)what is meant by core dump while executing? How to know where core dump
has occured? (23) what is the differnce between semaphores and mutex?

In second round: It is only for 10min. for me.he asked tell me abt urself and two puzzles.
(1)If 127 players are playing caroms game, how many games must be conducted to find the winner?
Ans:126
(2)How to find the weight of an elephant? i.e. by using which instrument we weigh?
But, I don't the answer for this.
In the third round: it is also for 10min. They asked abt my area of interesting subjects. They asked place of
preference.
They asked abt some of my family details.

Prepare well for campus. Thorough with every subject. Don't assume that the interview will be of the same pattern
what I metioned. The pattern of interviews changes every year for every company. Just thorough with subject. Be confident. TCS also observes ur communication skills. So improve ur communication skills.

320 applied for the tcs. They shortlisted 88 people after written test including us. Among 88 they selected 61
persons at the end of the day.
There are 3 rounds of interviews.
1st round-technical
In technical they asked subjects like C++,DBMS,Networks,OS,SQL,DS
2nd round-managerial
3rd round-HR...
I am very happy after the interview because they tested me in every subject. I didn't expect the tcs interview like
that. So I was very happy.
