in GD we were asked to discuss on the topic" the society is not that bad because of the bad people but it is bad because of the inactivity of the good people."

GPA criteria

ya the very first shortlisting was based on GPA . only those student weer allowed to sit for selection process whose GPA was above then 6pt(absolute)or 60%.

Technical Interview

In technical interview i was first asked about my favorite subject subject then question were basically inclined to that paper only. there were some question from basic electronics like BJT's, FET's etc.

HR Interview

HR questions consisted of from where do i belong, my father's occupation, why do i wish to join CIL even after being an electronics engineer

Suggestion

do's:
1. i must show there self confidence.
2.be good in your technical field and if you are noot comfortable in some topic just tell the interviewer straight away that you dont know much.
3.be specific in your answer.

don't:
1. don't ever show your body language in any interview, sit straight and see in the eyes of interviewer.
2. don't try to be too smart or look over confident. interviewer's are a lot smarter that u expect.
3. don't ever agitate or rebel on some point if you don't fully agree with interviewer just tell him politely that in some way i don't abide to him.

the company first shorlisted candidates n the basis of their GPA's then there was a round of GD then there was PI.
around 40 students from electronics applied out of which 8 were selected 4 Gen, 3- obc's and 1 sc was there. i was ranked as 3rd position.
