Technical Interview

I had Circuit Theory,Mathematics and Digital Electronics as subjects of my choice.I was primarily asked from network theorems, maximum power transfer theorem, superposition theorem,RC filters, analysis of the low-pass RC circuit using transfer function. Then I was said to explain the importance of Laplace transform,Fourier transform. Then the interviewer moved to pole-zero criteria and asked a few things from that. From Mathematics,he asked me about the use of Newton-Raphson method. Then he asked if I knew uP.I didn't know programming then.He therefore asked what are interrupts in 8085.That was the last thing he asked.I gave satisfactory and precise answers to all the questions. He terminated the technical interview by giving me the HR form and said,"Please move on to the next round".

HR Interview

In HR,they didn't bother to ask about my hobbies,my strengths, weaknesses etc.Only things asked were if I had any arers, any year-gaps,my final year project(a few relevant questions regarding my project was asked). Then she enquired if I had any problem signing a 15 months bond with Wipro Technologies. After my assertive answer, the HR interview ended. That was all for the day and I was told to wait for the result for about 3 days.

Suggestion

1.There is one worthy piece of suggestion for you guys---be honest first of all to say you don't know,if you really don't know a thing.Don't pretend that you know,or you cannot remember,or anything more weird.Just firmly say you don't know.Believe me,they don't want you to know everything, but want to see your eagerness to know.Just put your favourite subjects in your CV as your "areas of interest" and surely they'll ask you from that only.
2.In HR,be calm and cool, and give honest and sincere answers.Remember,an HR round is not meant to eliminate you,but meant for checking whether you can communicate, learn and whether you have a good reflex. The main elimination round is the technical one. So,if you're confident with what you know, you'll be through to the HR,and if you're not a retard or a moron, you'll crack the HR round too.

No. of Candidate applied And Points that Worked in Favour

1.I applied for the VLSI branch of Wipro Technologies. They selected 247 students from the aptitude test who appeared for the technical interview.I guess, around 55 students were shortlisted for the HR round.Finally,44 students made it to success.
2.I had my projest work running during that time.My project(uC-based Digital Clock) was nothing spectacular.
My CGPA was below average, only 7.27;so,it didn't help anyway.
Well,I didn't know many a thing,but I had confidence in what I knew.My areas of strength were Circuit Theory,Mathematics,Digital Electronics,Analog Circuits.
3.I think,I communicated well with the interviewers in both the rounds.I made my points clear in all the issues.

CpjJwWHV   @Arun Kumar Das ::- Solve 4 or 5 mock papers to find out where you need improvement and then consult R.S. Agarwal for that.
