No written test, shortlisted on the basis of CGPA.

Asked about the summer project..it was on FRPs..asked fav subjects said -'structures and environment'.They
actually are exploring hydel power so they asked on TUNNELING. How does the process starts..how it
continues..hazards in between..what saftey factors reqd..roof bolting..about TBM..how to incorporate envt. engg in
this process..didnt ask any other topic except this..

Name..family background..hobbies..why NTPC..ny problems with small townships..wht would i like to do at
NTPC..nearby NTPC site..

Have an idea of every branch and topic of Civil Engineering..need not mug up the things from 2nd yr till date..just
revise the basic concepts..and be CONFIDENT of whatever u r saying even if it is not fully correct..the panel will
correct you..do not ans the ques which u dont know at all..dont panic..and yes DRESSING sense had been keenly
observed by the panel..do not deviate from the dress code..always be smiling and keep an upright posture..give
stress on environment aspects also..dont forget to greet..polish your communication skills..know something about
NTPC before going for interview..u can use some of "their" phrases and data to impress them..

It was quite tensed before the D-Day reg. the interview and the panel...even moments before..but the panel was so
lite they made us feel homely..then it was awesome experience answering to their questions..my interview went in
a decent manner so i was expecting a positive message.. interview was very short lasting -upto 15 mins.
