Details of types of questions asked in each of the sections:
There was 25 question from aptitude and 25 technical questions. Questions were very basic. Basic knowledge of
thermodynamics,Heat Transfer,Material science, Engineering design, strength of materials,and mechanics.

1)tell me about urself 2)tell me ur favourite subject ( I said thermodynamics, HT, & turbo machinery.)
3. if a vessel containing water is kept in another bigger vessel containing water and we start heating the bigger
vessel then in which vessel temp reaches 100 first and why.then he ask about final year project.

first he ask me a technical question (if a log is kept on the ground and a compressive is applied from top then tell
me
possible ways to reduce the stress).HR Questions were like 1)have you come across any ethical situation if yes then
tell me what u did.2)are u going for MS 3)do u placed in any other company 4)have u done a work in which u
played a leading role.5)how was ur relation with group member.
after this interview another technical interview was there in which question was asked from almost all engineering
subject
but question were conceptual.and rest about project.

No need to worry if u give some wrong answer they were looking for human not machine. Applied Material is a good
company (many have confusion like it makes chip...but its not it makes machine which make chip).its R&D job.
