Verbal has two sections

2. Normal Fill in the blanks with correct word.

Quantitative:

3. question with options like which statement is sufficient to solve the problem from two statements provide. first,second, both, none

Technical for Mineral Engg
Floatation, general knowledge of Mining sites in india, Mineral intrusions etc

We had to discuss and choose one from two given topics for which one minutes was provided.

Then the discussion had to be on the actual topic

Topics for us were:
1. Are lobbyist necessary
2. Women a home maker or professional.

60% throughout though later concession was given for those having less marks in 10th only.

1.What is imperfection.(tromp curve)
2.How can we distinguish between ep and imperfection if we know some value of d50.
3 What is an ideal Ep curve

1. Tell about yourself
2. As I told my hobby as poetry they asked me to reciete one of my poems.
3. If I was ok to join at Delhi. I thought it as a trick question but they were serious :)]
4. Latter they asked some informal questions like how come I studied 12th from Delhi but 10th from Buxar and what do my Father do.

They were more concerned of the subject so one must be having sound technical knowledge in the field. They were very much hopeful and eager to have guys from ISM as our aluminis are there at high posts and they were quite impressed with the ISM standards in Geo-Science area in India and globally.

After written round 16 were selected from all the branches of Geology, Mineral and Mining.
Mineral 9 , geology4-5 , Mining- 2
They selected 8 from Mineral and 1 from Mining.

I think they were desperate for Mineral Engineers and so they selected most of us. But For my interview my language, Having done 12th from Delhi and answering the first and all other questions very confidently worked a lot.
