Hello friends... IOCL does not have a long tiring selection procedure..it simply interviews the top scorers and pick
the best among them,so if you are an IOCL aspirant then try keeping yourself in the top 10.If you have done your
training in any refinery then its a plus point to you as far as IOCL is concerned.. What they look for is a candidate
having basic knowledge about any chemical plant(pumps, waste heat recovery system, heat exchangers, water
treatment plant) and basic knowledge in distillation operations... Dont worry if you get stuck with any
question...Pretend that you know, but you aren't able to recollect:).And if you know any answer properly, then start
with a pause and answer slowly to show that you are sure of the fundas and you can logically explain the
concept. That will make them feel that you are not bookish but fundoo.. :).....Be confident..One important thing..
Never get tensed during the interview..Stay cool..You will get the job simply by convincing them that you are the
one they are looking for.... All the best:)

It was like facing a rapid fire round. They keep asking questions till they come to one which you cant answer. They
notice everything like the way you speak, the way you frame your answers, your confidence level, your dedication
towards the job.
