Details of types of questions asked in each of the sections:
Aptitude test was very easy. But, the technical paper was a bit tough.
In technical paper, questions were mainly based on basics of chemical engineering equipment (pumps,
compressors, evaporators, driers etc)
In the interview, all the questions they asked me were on the topic 'Distillation'. Questions were like what is a q
line?, explain its significance, what is total reflux?, is it useful? ,what is the role of fugacity in distillation column?
etc. Industrial significance was stressed on. I would suggest you to be strong with your basics of all subjects
including plant economics.
Be strong with your basics. Do not panic. Be honest and precise. Do not say meaningless answers. As soon as I
entered the interview room I was asked either to stay quiet or say 'I don't know', if I didn't know the answer,
instead of giving some vague answers. So, don't try to bluff.
