All the students above 7.5 CGPA were called for interview

My first round of interview started with HR questions like tell me about your self and why you want to shift to non core.He asked about the subjects i have read and my favorite subject.
it was highway engineering so he asked 5 to 6 questions over it like:
1)what is the width of a 6 lane highway.2)formula for width of highways above 2 lane and sight distances.
3)define types of pavements and their use.
Then he talked about recent development in concrete technology and asked questions over:
1)why slag cement is not popular?)which companies are using steam curing and where? 3)and lastly he talked about why India is unable to produce high strength concrete.
finally he asked about any doubts.

My second interview also started with same HR questions.Then he asked what i know about the company and what i have done to learn investment banking in last 3 years, to which i frankly replied nothing. still he asked basic questions like:
1)how investment banks works.2)Difference between BSE and NSE. 3)what will happen because of negative inflation?4)what was todays sensex, etc.
then again HR questions started like tell about your family and what will you do if u do not find the job suitable after 6 month of joining.
finally he said to ask questions

They selected 20 people out of 120 and most of the interview ends in 5 min.
so try to interact more and ask questions so that it last for longer period.
Interview process was cool. They were checking communication skills and knowledge of your core.
