Details of types of questions asked in each of the sections:
We had an online written test.
Quant was easy,speed helps a lot as the section was only for 30 mins and 30 questions to answer.
reasoing was a bit tricky.
technical : 30 mins basic computer knowlegde
30 mins C basics and coding
30 mins Java
30 mins J2EE
knowing java helps a bit, but only basic questions were asked.
all the questions were objective and no negative marking.

The questions which they asked me in the interview are
first round :
1.tell me about yourself
2.what are your strenghts and weaknesses
3.about relocation
4.why IT
5.why oracle CGBU??
6.some simple questions on pointers.
7.Given a list(array) of positive numbers. Write a prog to find out the nearest pair(least diff) with 3 different
time complexities.
(i answered only two, couldn't answer the third)
8.some general questions like family back ground and hobbies.
Second Round :( it was totally technical)
1.questions on pointers
2.Questions on data structure, graphs, tress.(just logic is important i din't write any code in this round, try to
know all the concepts, Data structures is important)
3.some simple puzzles were asked.
i)40 teams are playing knock-out tournment. How many matches will be played in the tournement?
ii)and one more question related to betting game, we need to fine the number of bets.i dont remember the
question exactly. It was a tricky one.
4.wht is inheritance?
5.Do you have any offers before?? (i got a normal but i said no)
6.why dint u apply for TCS??(this was because of my prev questins reply)
7.what is an abstract class?
8.what is an interface class?
third round:
everyone who gave their round before me had only HR , I was a bit surprised after listening to the first question
1. explain all the OOPS concepts which u know.(this fetched me a lot, i explained all the topics with good
examples, i took around 20 mins only for this question)
2.write a prog which takes time(HH:MM)as input and gives the angle between the hands as ouptut.
3.one puzzle
if you are given a task to represent all the days of a month (01,02,03...31) using two dice.
What numbers do u paint on faces of each die.
4.some HR questions were asked.

as mentioned above general questions like
tell me about yourself,strengths,weaknesses,hobbies,fa mily back ground etc were asked.

Concentrate on Data Structures,C,C++
C++ complete reference is a good book.
Score well in written it will help u.

Short listing for interviews was done based on percentile. so dont worry much if you dont know much of J2EE or
Java since it is relative,basic knowledge would be enough to clear the written.
There were three rounds of interviews
All the rounds were about 30-45 mins, and most of the tech question were on C and C++.
totally it was a nice experience.
I answered most of the questions well.
finally very happy gettin placed in my dream company.
