you should try to strike a right balance between technical and extra curricular activities. Your communication skills and management qualities will give you an edge over others.

around 50 students appeared for the selection process in which 8 students got the offer. From my branh 3 got the offer.Among the applicants from my branch I was on 5th rank as per the Cgpa(marks).
my leadership and management qualities coupled with good technical knowledge got me the offer. My experience as a Chairman of IEEE Student branch NIT Durgapur worked in my favor.
