1st INTERVIEW: Questions related to BMD(very easy ones),compaction curve, reinforcement, nominal mix for M20 etc
Favourite subject, liking for design etc were also asked
2nd INTERVIEW:why did i chose civil engg inspite of being a girl?was it a conscious decision?family background?preferred area of work-site or design office?hobbies?Among the technical questions I was asked the steps to design a steel industrial shed and what wt of steel would be reqd to reinforce 1cu. m of concrete.Questions related to fluid mechanics like what is NPSH were also asked.
3rd interview:No technical questions. My family background was enquired.They also asked me strange questions like what would i do if I encountered the Mafia and who is better the new or the previous VC?they also asked me how frequently i visited my relatives and home and why I bothered to study even in 4th year

1)Do not be scared or nervous even if you cannot answer a thing.Try to look calm.
2)Try to bring to the notice of the interviewer your qualities in the very short time you have.
3)Do not be too loud while talking but in any case remember you must be audible.
4)For girls in core engineering the common question will be how will you cope up with site work.Think of a genuine and confident answer if u are absolutely sure that you can go for site work.

A total of 5 rounds(all eliminative) were there.I cant exactly recall how many candidates initially sat for the first round but ultimately 5 of us appeared for the technical interview and then 3 of us got a call for an interview at their office.I was the available topper at that time..
Being the available topper was obviously a very big reason for my selection.I did not do too well in the written technical and the reason why i feel they ignored it was that I had a better percentage than others from my stream.But staying calm and putting forward a cheery attitude helped me get through. I tried not to leave any scope for further questions while answering them. Basically the last 2 interviews, for me, were a test of nerves.
